Essential Selection Criteria:

Basic salary:
Ranges from SDR29,015 to SDR39,754 (including COLDA). This is currently equivalent to SAT$114,729 to SAT $157,192 (including COLDA) per annum depending on qualifications and experience. Other attractive staff entitlements such as housing & education allowances, medical benefits, life & personal accident insurance, etc. will be available to the successful candidate.

Communications Officer
The Communications Officer will develop and implement FWRM communications initiatives and strategies to strengthen advocacy and the dissemination of rights-related materials. The successful applicant must have well developed communication skills, including high level of spoken and written English. The position reports to the Programme Manager and is accountable to the Executive Director.
Specific objectives of the job:
• Lead in the development of human rights awareness materials arid coordinate the production of FWRM publications.
• Act as media liaison officer, including preparing media releases, liaising with national, regional and international media and coordinating publicity events;
• Develop, maintain and update electronic online content (website and e-newsletter).
Key competencies:
Tertiary education and/or extensive experience in journalism, media and communications, including print layout and online publication. Knowledge of feminism and human rights. Public speaking and NGO experience is an advantage. Experience in proposal and report writing and budget development. A commitment to equal opportunities for women, human right and young women's development.
Salary range:
FJ$21, 000-$25, 000. This is dependent on academic qualification and work experience.
