The NFA is proactive in providing training for personnel and certification of business premises relating to fire risks. NFA aims to increasingly provide professional services, becoming more commercially focussed while maintaining compliance and recognition.
Our client, NFA is seeking to employ a Fire Engineer - Compliance and Safety to provide technical advice on legislative compliance, mitigation against fire damage, investigation techniques and analysis of fires in accordance with the National Fire Authority Act
The Fire Engineer - Compliance and Safety are responsible for the following services:
• Statutory and Operational compliance
• Provide professional advisory service provision
• Informed and supported NFA Management and Board
• Operational efficiency and effectiveness of the NFA Compliance and Safety Division
• Developing and improving NFA operational resources
The preferred candidate will demonstrate considerable successful Structural Engineering and Fire science experience. A relevant degree and a higher degree in Fire investigation and analysis, Fire Science or Engineering and specialised training in structural fire compliance is desirable.

The Native Lands Trust Board (NLTB) was established in 1940 with Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna being the principal architect. The objective and reason for such a board was three fold; to reserve sufficient land for land owners for their support and maintenance, to lease those lands not required by landowners and to assist in the development of reserved land
Today the NLTB’s business is the administration of native land leases and licenses for the land owning units. The number of leases is increasing annually with a total today of about 35,000 leases.
Our client, the NLTB, is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the key role of Manager Human Resource. Leading the Human Resource department, the Manager Human Resource provides board and management guidance on Human Resource matters and develops human capital in line with NLTB’s strategic direction.
The key outcomes include:

The Manager Financial will ensure that all the required financial accounting and management information for all business activities in NLTB is available and ensure that the financial management systems, processes and controls operate appropriately
Key outcomes include:
• Leadership of NLTB’s finance section.
• An informed management and Board, including financial management advice and assessments to ensure that budgeting and planning activities meet NLTB’s goals.
• Financial strategies and policies developed and implemented.
• Compliance with external reporting requirements and internal processes.
• Financial Management System - EPICOR
• Assessment of proposals involving financial expenditure and of the financial status of operational projects.
• Preparation of tenders, audits, administration of contracts, insurance arrangements and property administration
• Representing NLTB in dealings with bankers, legal advisers and others as required.
The Person: The successful candidate should be a qualified chartered Accountant and able to demonstrate achievements, leadership ability and considerable senior management experience in similar roles. He/She will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting and Finance. A strong sense of commitment to serving the Fijian people.
